Hello, my name is Roger Maxey and I would like to welcome you to Mova’s Jazz Café; An experimentation in the study of sound through fiction. This websites main purpose is to give a better understanding of the power of music by simply telling a story.

Mova’s Jazz Café is my first fictional novel that explores the world of Jazz through the perspective of the two main characters Amelia Cheryl Monet and London Zao Thomas. Amelia’s quest to reinvent her once thriving jazz Club amidst the aftermath of hurricane Katrina will lead her into the arms of a mysterious musician. From the silky setting of the Big Easy, to the cold chill of the Windy City, Amelia will find all the solutions and troubles of Movas’s Jazz Café would reside within the musical incantations of London Thomas.
